Fix for FrontPage hit counter on subdomain

Problem: You're using MS Front Page with web bots. The hitcounter works fine on your main domain, but not on the subdomain. For example, if your main site is, and your click refresh on that page, the counter counts up. But if you reload a web page on your subdomain, , the counter doesn't work, and the hits do not increment.

Solution: Find the section of your source code that begins with !--webbot bot="HitCounter" and continues to include the following:

img src="_vti_bin/fpcount.exe/abc/?Page=index.html|Image=2" alt="Hit Counter"

That path can't be right, so take the subdomain directory reference out of it. I've highlighted that reference in the example here. The part in grey, by the way, is possibly different in our example than it is on your site, so you won't want to make any other changes to the code here.

Upload your change and click refresh on your page, and the counter should start counting.
