How to add a TrustLogo on your Xcart site - delete

We recommend that you have your designer add your secure logo to your page. If you do your own design and are looking for ideas, here is an abbreviated version of some instructions found on the x-cart forums.

For the full tutorial, see

  1. Upload the handsonssl-logo.gif image to your /xcart/skin1/images/ folder - substituting xcart for the actual directory name, of course.
  2. Create a file in xcart/skin1/ called secure_cert.tpl and save it with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">TrustLogo("", "SC", "none");

    If your certificate is installed to, use this instead:

    <script type="text/javascript">TrustLogo("", "SC", "none");
  3. Add the following code between the tags of customer/home.tpl (also add to single/home.tpl if you have enabled "1 page checkout" module):
    <script language="JavaScript" src="" type="text/javascript"></script>
  4. Then using webmaster mode, insert the following script where you want your logo to appear:
    {include file="secure_cert.tpl"}

Now check the pages - refresh them; and the logo should appear. You can reposition it as you'd like by including the secure_cert.tpl file elsewhere.
