How to install a chained SSL certificate (on the first try!)

A quick google search will reveal that certain chained certificates (*cough* godaddy / starfield *cough*) are infamously difficult to install properly. Or at least they used to be. One of our wonderfully helpful users, Bill, sent in the following tips. Thanks Bill!

1) When they get the cert from Starfield, they need to make sure they select 'Cpanel' as the certificate package type. There are a bunch of options at this step and cpanel is near the bottom. If they select the wrong one, the cert package will contain the wrong bundle for use with cpanel.

2) When they install, they need to have the IP address assigned since cpanel doesn't allow the user to select or assign it.

3) They should NOT use the ca_bundle - they MUST use the sf_bundle in the third box.

You can find other SSL installation tips here.
